(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emmy Rossum has split from Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz.

The 24-year-old actress admitted the relationship ended two months ago but she is still on good terms with the music star. The pair were first romantically linked in September 2009 after they were seen together on several occasions. They preferred to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, but Emmy later revealed she had met 46-year-old Adam through social networking site Twitter.

"We're still very close friends," Emmy told USA Today as she discussed the split.

Emmy and dread-locked singer Adam sparked surprise when they began dating, with some seeing them as an unlikely couple. After they had confirmed their romance, Emmy confessed, I get why chicks dig him.

They fell for each other soon after Emmy had split from her husband, music executive Justin Siegel. Emmy was married to Justin for 18 months before he filed for divorce in August 2009. (C) Cover Media
