1st October 2010

October 1, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Bollywoods one of the most sensuous heroes, Emraan Hashmi is back with his bad boy image in his upcoming film Crook, which is set to release this October 8. The film deals with the racial discrimination in Australia with the Indians. However, Emraan seems to have his own philosophy regarding this issue. The actor was quoted saying that it will unfair to say that Australia is racist as a whole because India has also same kinds of problems.

The actor added that if a handful of people have regressive attitude towards other people and culture, the whole country can be termed racist. Hashmi said that we should first check the issue in our own country before pointing fingers to Australia.

The 31 year old actor further said that he does not understand racism because in his family his wife is a Hindu; his father was a Muslim and mother was a Catholic.

Few months back, Emran was quoted saying that he was denied permission by a housing society to buy an apartment in Pali Hill in suburban Bandra because he is a Muslim. Rejecting the allegations, the housing society alleged that Emraan and his family had intimidatory behaviour. Later, he also changed the statement said that there was no discrimination done with him and said it was just an incident of miscommunication.

Speaking about the movie Crook, Emraan said that it deals with a serious issue like the racial discrimination against Indians in Australia but it will also offer some light moments. He added that the movie will be an entertaining outing and filled with lots of humor and comedy.
