Veteran Bollywood actor, the ever enigmatic, evergreen and dashing Anil Kapoor turns 59 as he celebrates his birthday today 24th December 2015.
He made his bollywood debut with a small cameo role in the 1979 film 'Humare Tumhare' but got his first break break as a leading actor in the 1983 film 'Woh Saat Din' and instantly received recognition for his acting prowess.
Post his debut there was simply no looking back for the versatile actor as he went to further cement his reputation as one of the most promising and sought after actors with films like 'Mashaal', 'Meri Jung', 'Tezaab' 'Eeshwar', 'Lamhe', 'Beta' to name a few.
Kapoor is known in the industry not only as an actor but also as an established producer. In 2002, Kapoor produced his first film, the comedy 'Badhaai Ho Badhaai', in which he also starred in. It was followed by 'My Wife's Murder' (2005) and 'Gandhi, My Father' (2007).
Needless to mention anything further about Kapoor's acting versatility, he is also one of the few Indian actors to successfully make a transition from the silver screen to the small screen as he starred in the critically acclaimed tv series '24'. He also played a part in the international version of the series as well.
Alongside his work as an actor, Kapoor has also done some experimentation as he has also stepped behind the mic as a singer on numerous occasions. One of his first playback songs was the title track of the 1986 Bollywood comedy 'Chameli Ki Shaadi'. In the same decade, he was credited on the song "Tere Bina Main Nahin Mere Bina Tu Nahin" for the film 'Woh Saat Din'. He is also credited on the song "I Love You" from 'Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai'.
Besides this, Kapoor has also won numerous awards and gained international recognition for his career defining work. Without a shadow of a doubt, Anil Kapoor is one of the most versatile and hard hitting actors we have in the industry today. An actor whom many try to imitate but few who can succeed to replicate.
Fridaymoviez wishes the veteran Anil Kapoor a very happy birthday, good health and more success and glory in the coming years.
