The elder daughter of veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha Deol celebrates her birthday today. Coming from a family who belongs to the film industry, Esha was also a part of Bollywood for a few years.

Esha is part Punjabi and part Tamil and she speaks both the languages. She was born and brought up in Mumbai where she attended school and college. In school, Esha was very fond of football, playing a midfielder she was the captain of her school football team.

The actress started her career with the movie 'Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe', for which she won three awards. She has worked in over fifteen movies since then.

Daddy's princess married businessman Bharat Takhtani this year and since then she hasn't been much in the limelight with regards to films.

Though it is heard that she will be working for a few films this year and the next year too, an official announcement is yet to be made.
