Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar who is known for her performance in 'Nil Battey Sannata' has finally turned to a producer along with her entrepreneur brother Ishan Bhaskar, to flag off their new venture.
The 40-year old is all set to produce a biopic under their production banner 'Kahaaniwaaley' which will be based on Krishna Sen's real-life story who is a woman but pretended to be a man and married two women. The rights of the story have been bought and the pre-production will start soon. The film will go on floors in this year itself.
Speaking about her brand new production venture, Swara said in a statement, "At Kahaaniwaaley, the aim is to support good scripts and filmmakers that have these fresh and powerful stories but they don't get the right platform to showcase them."
Co-owner of the production venture and Swara's brother Ishaan said in a statement, "Having portrayed several unconventional, challenging and bold characters, we were looking for a story idea for Swara that would match the performance potential of her previous films. Krishna Sen’s real-life story is the perfect choice to portray a mysterious real-life character as well as bring a the strangely true story to life on the big screen."
On the work front, Swara was last seen in 'Veere Di Wedding' which was successful at the box-office.
