(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Eva Longoria no longer talks to ex-husband Tony Parker.
The Hollywood star split from the French basketball player last year after finding hundreds of texts on his phone from another woman. They had been married since 2007 and the discovery came as a complete shock to Eva.
She's now in a happy relationship with Penlope Cruz's brother Eduardo and has confirmed her relationship with Tony is non-existent.
"You and Tony are friendly: Do you still talk?" talk show host Ellen DeGeneres asked Eva during an interview.
"No," the star replied.
Eva also opened up about how the high-profile split affected her. Tony plays for the San Antonio Spurs, so she would regularly travel to Texas for his games. Coupled with her work shooting Desperate Housewives in Los Angeles it meant Eva didn't have much time for herself.
The 36-year-old has vowed never to get into that situation again.
"For me, being a woman, I realised you cannot identify yourself through a man or through your marriage... or through a partner. I think it's our nature to be socially constructed that way. To just be inferior or subservient and you don't have to be," she said.
"You can be yourself and really hold your own by yourself no matter what partnership you're in."
Ellen agreed the lesson was a good one. She believes it's good for women to be strong and have interests outside their families just in case anything bad ever happens.
"Because when things - or if - I shouldn't say when [things go wrong]," the host began to say.
Eva quickly interjected: "[In] Hollywood, it's when."
The two women then had a lighter moment, with Eva laughing many people have commented on healthy she's looking at the moment. "I'm going, 'Wow!' I think divorce agrees with me," she laughed. (C) Cover Media
