(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Eva Longoria Parkers representative has denied she is getting divorced.
Earlier today gossip website TMZ reported the American actress and her husband, French basketball star Tony Parker, had split and divorce papers had been filed in Texas. It was then reported Eva had pulled out of an upcoming appearance, which was linked to the alleged split.
However, a spokesperson for Eva has now insisted there is no truth to the allegations. We spoke to a rep for Tony and TMZs report is 100% false, the representative said.
The gossip site has since retracted its story, and explained why it was published.
TMZ reported that Tony had filed for divorce. Two clerks at the Bexar County Courthouse in Texas had told us the case was filed and sealed by a family law judge, it reported. But Eva's rep tells us Tony did not file and does not even have a divorce lawyer.
Another clerk at the courthouse now tells us she's in charge of sealed cases and says no such case has crossed her desk.
Eva and Tony got engaged in 2006, and they wed a year later. Tony plays for the San Antonio Spurs, based in Texas, while Eva spends much of her time shooting Desperate Housewives in Los Angeles. (C) Cover Media
