Actor Farhan Akhtar denied false rumours about him playing a cop in Don's third instalment. The 44-year old finally broke his silence and gave a mouth shutting reply to everyone carrying the rumours without evident proof of it.

Farhan tweeted, ''Request those who conjure up news about #Don3 without any fact checking to please refrain. It is not fair to raise expectations of the film's fanbase via false news.'' His anger was justified as people over the social media platforms were speculating Farhan playing a cop in Don 3 that will certainly chase down Shah Rukh Khan. It will be interesting to see will Farhan be the part of the film or he is happy to be in the director's seat.

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's owned production company, Excel Entertainment, has the rights of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 1978 film 'Don'. Previously Sidhwani revealed that the team had started working on the script and the story not giving much about its making plans. 

Some reports suggest that Deepika Padukone would replace Priyanka Chopra - who played cop, Roma in the first two films of the franchise. Although the final cast of 'Don 3' is yet to be revealed.
