(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Eva Longoria Parker and her estranged husband Tony Parker have been discussing their situation for some time in private.

The American actress filed for divorce from her basketball star husband in Los Angeles on Wednesday, a day after reports he had sought to end their marriage in Texas were denied by her representative.

Tony has now spoken of Evas decision to split from him permanently, revealing he knew what she was planning to do. Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately, he said. I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles.

I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California. We plan to continue to keep our discussion of this matter private.

It has been alleged Eva called time on the marriage after discovering Tony had been texting a mutual female friend for a year, apparently sending hundreds of messages in just one month. There are also claims he cheated on Eva early in the marriage, and kept in touch with the woman via a social networking website.

Tony has refused to discuss the specifics of the divorce, insisting some things are between him and Eva. He was asked about the rumours before his team the San Antonio Spurs played the Chicago Bulls this week, but would not comment.
