(Cover) - EN Star Style - Eva Mendes says people thinking shes sexy isnt the end-all, be-all.

The 36-year-old actress is widely considered to be one of Hollywoods most beautiful leading ladies, and her racy modelling campaigns for the fashion house Calvin Klein confirmed her status as a sex symbol.

Eva is more worried about making good movies than receiving praise for her body though, so she doesnt get too caught up in how attractive people find her.

It's flattering that people think I'm sexy, but it's not the end-all, be-all, she told Interviews David Colman.

The star thinks if she worries too much about maintaining her pin-up status, her self-esteem will end up faltering if she one day loses her good looks. That doesnt mean Eva isnt happy with her sex symbol status for now though, as she does find the many compliments she receives flattering.

The minute I put my self-esteem on what they think I am, I'm screwed, because one day they're not going to think I'm sexy. You know what I mean? It's just going to be like that. That's just life - especially in this industry, she explained.

If I based my self-esteem on their perception of me, I'd be screwed, and it would lead to a very unhappy life. So, although I'm grateful, I take it with a grain of salt. Otherwise, it's just too complicated. (C) Cover Media
