(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Eva Mendes insists she would rather men call her "cute" than "hot".

The 37-year-old star is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood. Eva is happy with her sex symbol status, but claims that being seen as "adorable" is far more flattering than just receiving praise simply for her smouldering appearance.

"I'd rather be on team cute because I think it's harder to be cute," she explained. "I think when a guy pays me that compliment of being cute or adorable that feels like a real compliment.

"Because being hot I think is all smoke and mirrors. I mean at a certain point! I think it takes more personality to be cute so I think it's more of a deeper compliment."

Eva is currently involved in a new campaign for Thierry Mugler perfume Angel. In the adverts she shows off her singing talents, but insists she has no immediate plans to launch a music career.

"I don't even know what I'm doing this weekend so I wouldn't say never," she replied when asked if she plans to release an album. "I'm not a planner but certainly for this I got to work with the amazing John Bryant and Windmills of Your Mind is one of my favourite songs of all time. So it just happened to come together. I love with things come together organically like that. It makes it feel right versus something contrived." (C) Cover Media
