(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ewan McGregor feels "natural and powerful" being naked in front of film crews.

The Scottish actor is best known for his roles in Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge!, with his acting career spanning a broad range of movie genres.

The 40-year-old starred in 1996 film The Pillow Book, where he played an English translator who becomes the favourite lover of a Japanese model.

Ewan says filming the highly-sexed scenes for the movie was liberating.

"My second film was Peter Greenaway's The Pillow Book where I just had to have sex with everybody an old Japanese man, a beautiful Japanese girl and I was naked all the time but none of it bothered me," he explained in an interview with Attitude magazine.

"I thought it was beautiful to do. The experience of making it was dream-like the sets were so beautifully lit and there was something natural and powerful about being naked all day in front of the crew. It didn't matter to me or them."

Ewan is known for his risqu roles. The Hollywood hunk has appeared in films which explore sexuality including I Love You Phillip Morris. The star portrayed an inmate who falls in love with a fellow prisoner in the romantic comedy-drama.

Ewan isn't afraid to tackle such roles.

"I've never been scared to explore sexuality in my work because I think it's very important. It's a big area of what makes us us, the desire to sleep with men or women, and I never wanted to have limits in any of my work, other than my own morals," he revealed. (C) Cover Media
