December 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Winter is the season to sport all kinds of jackets that can add a lot of style quotient to an otherwise dull and boring outfit.

Jackets are available in a variety of colors, cuts, lengths and sizes thereby making the choice quite a difficult one if not a complicated one. Jackets that are always in vogue are the leather jackets, the suede jackets and the tweed jackets. However leather is the one clear winner when it comes to looking cool and in total sync with any outfit that one wishes to wear.

However, it is always wise to invest in more than one jacket so as to make one confident of wearing the right one at the right place and time. For those really cold months there should be a slightly longer jacket, which perhaps would have quite a stylish cut with a single slit at the back or even two side slits making a style statement at any formal do. The shorter ones too come in a variety of designs and cuts, making it important to choose one depending on ones own size and budget.

The most important factor to be kept in mind while investing in a jacket is to go in for basic colors. If one is looking for an all time favorite then black, brown, beige, fawn are the colors to stick to.

These are the basics in the jacket sector. One can never go wrong with these all time favorite colors. As for investing in more than one than the choice is endless- so go ahead and splurge on jackets without suffering from pangs of guilt, it is always a good investment and very useful!
