(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Fergie jokingly threatened to divorce Josh Duhamel unless he pledged support to the American football team she part owns.

The singer has a stake in the Miami Dolphins, and is regularly spotted watching their games. At a recent event, the star was discussing her upcoming appearance at the iconic annual Super Bowl game with her band the Black Eyed Peas when she overheard Josh telling people he was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Quick as a flash, Fergie corrected him, much to the amusement of onlookers.

She whipped her head around and corrected him, yelling, 'Go Dolphins!' an insider laughed to the New York Post.

The star then told Josh she would end their marriage unless he shouted Go Dolphins! while she was being interviewed. He happily obliged, leaving fellow guests at the Billboard Women in Music bash in hysterics.

Fergie was named Woman of the Year at the party, while Glee actress Lea Michele was given the Triple Threat prize, in honour of her singing, acting and dancing skills. The two women bonded over their accolades, with Fergie admitting she would love to shoot a cameo for Glee, which is about a high school singing club.

My plate's kind of full right now but I would love to be on a Glee episode, are you kidding me? she enthused. (C) Cover Media
