The wait is finally over as the makers of Rohit Shetty directorial 'Simmba' are out with its trailer and we have Ranveer Singh slaying in his new role of Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer who ain't a Robinhood as he chooses this job just to earn money.

The most interesting part of the trailer is the 'Singham' crossover as the trailer begins with Bajirao Singham aka Ajay Devgn's voice over introducing a kiddo who wanted to be a police officer just like him but not in the style of honesty.

Sangram Bhalerao is a sinister police officer when it comes to corruption but hits the right track when he comes across a rape case, is only when he goes against the antagonist Sonu Sood who fills his pocket. We only have glimpses of Sara Ali Khan in the trailer as Simmba's love interest. Click here to watch the trailer.

While the trailer ends with the villains trying to murder Simmba, it ends with the heroic entry of Singham in a regular Rohit Shetty style. Speaking to a leading daily about the film, Ranveer Singh said, "It has been a mind, soul enhancing experience. Rohit sir is the king of the genre. I am growing as an artiste. It is not easy to be performing, acting in mainstream films as there is comedy, drama, action, etc. It is my biggest film and I am very excited about it. It is going to be a full on family entertainer and I want to be part of films like this in future."

Bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez, Simmba is slated for a December 28 release.
