(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Fergie has a special purge room at her home filled with things she wants to get rid of.

The singer has been busy touring with her band the Black Eyed Peas and has also been working on solo projects over the last year. She now has some time off coming up and plans to spend it clearing out her home.

Fergie used to find it tough to throw things away and was particularly attached to her clothes and stage costumes. She now realises she doesnt need to keep everything, so has created a special area at her home to store things which will eventually be ditched.

It took me a long time because I saved everything, and you know how long Ive been on tour, so this space and this time off has given me a little time to do that and its cleansing, she explained to Access Hollywood. It feels so good. We have this room in my house called the purge room - its actually a guest bedroom that my mom always stays in - but we have all the boxes in there and I put music on, get some wine out. I have a full-length mirror and all the girls come over and just have like, a little trying on clothes party.

Fergies pals can leave with anything they like, which makes her feel good. She enjoys knowing her treasured pieces are going to a good home and says its the perfect way to while away hours with friends.

The 36-year-old isnt just concentrating on her wardrobe, shes also looking forward to being with her husband Josh Duhamel more.

Ive got a lot on my plate and this year is more about simplifying and really paying attention to the projects that I have on my plate and spending some time with the hubby, you know? she added. (C) Cover Media
