My Tamil Movie Group of Cinemas has been hosting 'Edison Awards' in commemoration of Thomas Alva Edison, founder of Cinema to honor the best actors, technicians of various departments. It has been held from 2006 and this year the organizers have decided to host the awards ceremony in much grandeur. The event will be studded with who's who of Kollywood including some of the most prominent actors, technicians and sizzling performances by actresses. The list of special celebrities aren't limited just to film industry, but will be from various departments like politicians, industrialists and cabinet ministers from Malaysia and many others. The winners are finalized by a panel of jury, who are very well versed with cinema. The awards ceremony will be held on February 12, 2011 evening at Lady Andal School, Chetpet in Chennai.
