Actor, singer, screenwriter, musician and film producer... Adam Sandler does it all.

The goofy actor Adam Sandler was born on 9th September, 1966 in Brooklyn to Jewish parents. He found that he was a natural comic and nurtured his talent while at New York University by performing regularly in clubs and on campuses.

He was discovered by comedian Dennis Miller, who caught Sandler's act in Los Angeles. Miller recommended him to Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels. Sandler was hired as a writer for SNL in 1990 and became a featured player the following year, making a name for himself by performing amusing original songs on the show, including "The Chanukah Song".

Later on he went on to make successful films like Happy Gilimore, The Wedding Singer, Very Bad Things, Punch-Drunk Love, etc... His latest film Grown-ups was a favourite amongst many and he has become a household name. He has been nominated several times and won a lot of praise and critical acclamation.

On June 22nd 2003, Adam Sandler married actress Jacqueline Samantha Titone and they are now the proud parents of two lovely daughters.

Apart from films, Adam Sandler also does social work like in 2007, Adam Sandler made a $1 million donation to the Boys and Girls Club in his hometown, Manchester, New Hampshire.
