(Cover) - EN Showbiz - George Clooney has joked that catching malaria was good fun.

The handsome actor became sick recently after contracting the potentially life-threatening illness while in African country Sudan.

George was working on his Enough project in conjunction with the United Nations and Google, in a bid to put an end to genocide. He has laughed off the episode and is pleased that he has now fully recovered.

Well, you know, even with malaria it's just good fun, the 49-year-old said in an interview with Piers Morgan on his Tonight show.

George admitted that he has suffered with the illness on a previous occasion. But he managed to smile away the pain again and said the carrier of the disease probably saw him as a challenge.
