George Michael has cancelled tour dates after being admitted to hospital with pneumonia.
The 48-year-old singer had reportedly been battling a chest infection for some weeks. He was hospitalised in Vienna, Austria, where he was due to perform on Monday.
George is continuing to receive medical treatment and has postponed a show in France tonight. His scheduled performances in Wales this weekend have also been delayed.
"George has had to cancel some shows because he has pneumonia," his spokesperson said on Wednesday evening.
"It started with a chest infection and developed into pneumonia, therefore he had to cancel some shows. When you have pneumonia it takes a while to get better.
"Plans to reschedule these postponed tour dates will be provided when available."
The star's concert promoter Manfred Leodolter told Austrian press that George is still in hospital.
"Doctors have warned him for the moment against flying and he is getting rest in Vienna," he added.
This is the second time George has been hit by health problems on his Symphonica world tour.
Last month, he was forced to cancel a sell-out show in London after his spokesperson said he was suffering from a viral infection.
George's representative has admitted she has no idea when the singer will be released from hospital. The rep also dismissed reports that the star is suffering from heart problems. "That's total nonsense," she is quoted as saying by British newspaper The Sun.
George's tour kicked off in Prague, Czech Republic, in August. He is hoping to recover in time to take to the stage in Liverpool, England, on November 30.
