Geri Halliwell is shooting a new reality television show.
The former Spice Girl has already started filming scenes for the upcoming programme. Although details of it are a closely-guarded secret, it is reported the majority of the show will follow Geri as she works on the new Spice Girls musical.
The 39-year-old star has reportedly been inspired by her former bandmates Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C. They have all branched out into other work, with Mel B acting as a judge on an Australian TV talent show and Victoria having a successful clothing label.
"Geri is keen to do some TV as she's seen the other girls doing bits and bobs," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"Geri is really excited about the project, which is at the very early stages."
The star will also be seen working on her line of swimwear and it's thought she will allow cameras into the home she shares with her daughter Bluebell, who is six next month. The series will be aired in the UK, although it's not known when it will hit screens.
Geri previously allowed cameras to shadow her for a programme in 1999, a year after she left the Spice Girls.
If the new series does follow work on the planned West End theatre production featuring the British girl band's music it could be interesting. Earlier this week it was reported that Mel B and Mel C are struggling to agree on the details of the musical.
Their issues are said to be causing problems with British comedienne Jennifer Saunders, who is penning the script.
"Melanie Brown [Scary Spice] and Melanie Chisholm [Sporty Spice] can't agree on anything," a source told New York Post. "It's driving Jennifer crazy."
Victoria has also been busy working on her fashion enterprise so hasn't been that available to give input. The show was due to hit the stage in London later this year, but it's now not clear when it will be ready.
