The 38-year-old Hollywood actress offers useful advice to her fans on subjects ranging from beauty to cookery in her popular GOOP newsletter. She is also currently promoting cook book My Father's Daughter: Delicious Recipes Celebrating Family and Togetherness, where she provides tips on preparing food for loved ones.

Despite being so willing to dish out handy hints on how to improve life, the talented star who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin with who she has two kids; Apple, six, and Moses, five - insists she has no desire to develop a guru-like status.

You know, I still feel like Im very much an actress and thats my focus. Its just when Im home in London and the kids are in their routine and going to school that I use things like GOOP and the cookbook to channel creativity. And Im a very curious person so I think its more that I like sharing information than Im a lifestyle guru; Im just saying what works for me or what hasnt, she explained to Stylist.

Gwyneth has also been impressing audiences with her vocal capabilities of late, including performing at the prestigious Grammy Awards earlier this year alongside singer Cee Lo Green and reprising her cameo role as Holly Holliday in musical comedy show Glee.

The star does get nervous before taking to the stage as she isnt a professionally trained musician, teasing that she takes a pint of Guinness and a beta blocker to calm her nerves. The star is a massive fan of the Irish stout, and has been for many years.

I discovered it a while ago when I had a friend who got married in Ireland and Ive been [in London] for eight years now so it was probably a decade ago that I started drinking it. I love it; its my favourite beer. The first time I had a real Guinness I was like, This is the most delicious thing Ive ever had in my life. It was a love affair from then on, she laughed.
