(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow feels lucky to have such a deep friendship with Jay-Z and Beyonc Knowles.

The 38-year-old star and her Coldplay frontman husband Chris Martin have a close friendship with the musical couple, and its something Gwyneth values highly. The group have a strong bond and all enjoy hanging out together whenever possible.

"You know how sometimes you meet people and they're like family to you? There's a deep level of trust and similar senses of humour, family, work ethic. We have a lot in common, and we feel lucky that we all have each other," she explained.

The American star says people shouldnt be sceptical of their relationship because of their differing backgrounds. Gwyneth was raised in California by her actress mother Blythe Danner and her producer father Bruce Paltrow, while Jay-Z grew up on a housing project in New York with an absent dad.

Gwyneth insists she has more in common with the pair than her neighbours growing up.

"It's funny because I know people think, 'How is that friendship?' because we come from such different worlds, but I think we're more alike than the people I grew up next door to. It's funny how life is like that, she added. (C) Cover Media
