(Cover) - EN Star Style - Hailee Steinfeld has no plans to wear the outfit she donned to her True Grit audition again.

The 14-year-old American actress plays Mattie Ross in the western about a tough US Marshal who helps a young lady track down the man who killed her father.

The movie also stars Hollywood talent such as Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon, and Hailee feels honoured to have starred in the film. However, she cringes when she looks back at the attire she wore to her audition.

"There was something about this character that I just fell in love with and I wanted to make sure that I got right in there at the audition," she is quoted as saying.

Hailees mother conjured up the ideal audition outfit after visiting second-hand shops, and the young actress feels her image helped her land the role. The star isnt sure shell ever wear the attire again though, as its rather different from the up-to-date look she usually sports.

As I was reading the material I had this vision and I just had to get in it. So in order to do that my mom threw together a corduroy burlap skirt for me to wear with a ruffled up shirt that she found at a thrift shop. It was perfect though. It was great. I still have it! I don't know if I will wear it again though, she laughed. (C) Cover Media
