Halle Berry challenged by role

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Halle Berry has described her latest movie role as a real challenge.

The 44-year-old actress is one of Hollywoods most talented women, having won an Oscar for her outstanding performance in 2001 romantic drama Monsters Ball.

Halles latest role is portraying the lead character in psychological drama Frankie and Alice, which tells the tale of a woman with multiple personality disorder who is desperate to remain her true self and not give in to her racist alter-ego.

There have been rumours Halle may be nominated for another Oscar following this performance, and the accomplished actress admits it was hard work playing a character with so many facets, although she thoroughly enjoyed herself on set.

"It was really challenging," she told ET. "Any time, as an actor, playing one role can be challenging, so playing three within one was a real challenge - and I loved every second of it."

The talented star was also a producer on the movie, which has been directed by Geoffrey Sax, and boasts an A-list cast including Stellan Skarsgard, Phylicia Rashad and Chandra Wilson.

Having been involved in the films production means Halle is even more excited about the release of Frankie and Alice.

"I produced this film as well, so to see a film that I spent ten years trying to make actually see the light of day is what I'm excited about right now," she beamed. (C) Cover Media
