The 'He-Man' and 'Action King' of Bollywood Dharmendra considered a living legend has established himself as one of the most prominent figures in the history of Hindi cinema. One of the most adored and respected actors of all times celebrates his 77th birthday today.

Born on December 8, 1935 as Dharam Singh Deol, the iconic actor adopted the screen name Dharmendra, and started his Bollywood career with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960.

The veteran actor is known as the action hero of the Indian film industry. Furthermore, with his aura for romance and emotional roles captures the heart of millions with his soothing and warm voice. He won rave reviews for his funny role as Dr Parimal Tripathi in Hrishikesh Mukehrjee’s Chupke Chupke, and turned producer with Ghayal in 1990.
