Born in the spotlight on 27th September, 1972, to actress Blythe Danner and a film & television director, producer, Bruce Paltrow, little Gwyneth always wanted to be an actress. While studying Art History, she dropped it mid-way to take up acting. 

Gwyneth grew up watching her mother act and perform at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts and finally made her acting debut in 1990. After theatre, she immediately turned to films within a year and debuted with the movie "Shout" along with John Travolta. Gwyneth got picked for really wonderful roles along with a bunch of excellent actors. Her movie 'Shakespeare in Love', in which she portrayed the fictional lover of Shakespeare, won her the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role from the Screen Actors Guild, the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and the Academy Award for Best Actress along with many other awards. After this she has done many movies, her latest being 'Contagion', but none was successful in bringing awards to her. In 2010, she starred in the Television series 'GLEE' and received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. 

Gwyneth Paltrow's career is not restricted to just acting. She is also a singer and apart from many singles and duets, she has sung the songs for the Television series, Glee.  

Gwyneth Paltrow after a series of relationships with Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, finally met her soul mate Chris Martin, of the British rock group Coldplay. The two are happily married since 2003 and have two children- Apple and Moses.
