Bollywood's evergreen "Dream Girl", the legendary actress, the one and only Hema Malini turns 67 as she celebrates her birthday today 16th October 2015.

Hema Malini made her Bollywood debut with the 1968 film 'Sapno Ka Saudagar' but it was her role in the 1975 blockbuster 'Sholay' opposite Dharmendra which got her much recognition and quickly established her as a household name.

After 'Sholay', there was simply no looking back for Hema as she eventually went on to work in a string of hits like 'Sharafat', 'Johnny Mera Naam', 'Andaz', 'Seeta Aur Geeta', 'Dream Girl' and 'Baghban' and thus achieved superstardom in Bollywood.

Just in case for those who do not know why Hema is called the "Dream Girl" of bollywood, it was her role in the 1977 film 'Dream Girl' opposite Dharmendra which got her this moniker and still to this day the moniker has stuck with her regardless of her age.

Hema Malini undoubtedly has been nominated for Filmfare Award numerous times in her illustrious career and she managed to win it once for her work in the film 'Seeta Aur Geeta'. Besides this, she has also been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999 and the Padma Shri in 2000.
