Bollywood and Hollywood actor Omi Vaidya a.k.a "Chatur Ramalingam" is turning 30 today.
 
Omi Vaidya was born on 10th January 1980. He was born and brought up in California, USA. Being a native of Goa, he started acting in English and Marathi plays at a very young age.

Omi was vacationing in India when he auditioned for a role in "3 Idiots".  With top bollywood stars like Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan acting in the film "3 Idiots", Omi aka "Chatur Ramlingam" wooed the audience with his charm and perfect comic timing.

Omi has acted in a number of hit Hollywood shows such as "Arrested Development", "Bones" ,"The Office", "Rolling", "Life","Kath and Kim" etc.
 
Omi grabbed the 3 Idiots role with the help of film's screenwriter Abhijat Joshi, who is also based in US. Omi met him through a common friend. Omi was next seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji". He won hearts again with his character 'Milind Kelkar' in the film.

 Omi played the role of Deepika Padukone's blind date in "Desi Boyz". Abbas-Mustan's "Players" is Omi's latest film.
