December 21, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The 22 year old actress Afshan Azad, who portrayed the character of Padma Patil, Harry Potters classmate in the Harry Potter series has reportedly been threatened to be killed by her own father and brother as she had had an affair with a Hindu boy and they being Muslims it was not acceptable to fall in love with someone outside the religion.

According to reports the actress was quite in a mental trauma ever since her brother Ashraf 28, had found out about her affair and had shouted loudly at their father 53 year old Abul Azad who was in a deep slumber to take care of his daughter or else he would kill her.

The gory incident which had taken place in the month of May at the residential address of the family in Manchester had quite shaken up the old man too and he had threatened his daughter that he would kill her himself since he did not want his sons to have blood stained hands said the prosecuting lawyer according to popular tabloid reports.

All this was quite upsetting for the young actress and she had reportedly gone to seek police protection fearing for her safety after having jumped from the window of her bedroom.

Afshan Azad, had however reportedly requested the police not to arrest her father and brother ass that would prove very dangerous for her and said that she had gone only to seek protection from the authorities and nothing else.
