After 'Haider' bagged the People’s Choice Award at Rome film festival, Amole Gupte's 'Hawaa Hawaai' has joined the league. 'Hawaa Hawaii' received the best film award at the 19th Schlingel Film Festival held in Chemnitz, Germany in the Junior Film Category.

Delighted Amole said, "I am so thankful to this learned jury for recognising the art and the intent in the making of 'Hawaa Hawaai'. This top honour puts the film on a very special shelf of cinema."

Featuring Partho Gupte and Saqib Saleem the film was critically acclaimed by the critics. The film was about people who dare to dream and achieve it too.

The prize money for the top award equals to around a thousand Euros.
