(Cover) - EN Star Style - Helena Bonham Carter thinks she was subconsciously influenced by her mothers style.

The 44-year-old British actress is currently enjoying a boom in her career, having recently won the best supporting actress at the BAFTA Awards for her role in historical drama The Kings Speech. Having been attending plenty of glitzy movie ceremonies lately, Helena has been making a major impact on the red carpet with her kooky style, and admits her flair for flamboyancy probably stems from her mother Elena.

Maybe unconsciously because shes obviously an individual, Helena replied when People asked if her mom had influenced her fashion choices.

Shes always had colour and shes got flamboyance. Maybe subconsciously I did pick something up.

Elena is of Spanish heritage, and used to dress Helena in the countrys traditional attire when she was young. Helena feels this probably contributed to her passion for dresses with plenty of embellishments.

Moms half-Spanish and she used to dress me in flamenco dresses when I was little. Now I realise I have lots of things about frills. I did my own jean thing which was all about frills. Moms always saying, Its exactly what Id have worn in my youth. You always think you made your own self, but who knows, she mused. (C) Cover Media
