(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Paris Hilton and Cy Waits haven't broken up and are simply "taking a break", according to a source.

It was reported yesterday that the socialite and her entrepreneur boyfriend have called time on their romance, which began around a year ago. A source claimed to US Weekly that the pair's relationship "hit a rough patch" and had "broken up", although Paris' representative had no comment.

Now, a source close to Paris has claimed the couple are in fact still an item. Despite insisting the pair are still very much in love, the source conceded that club owner Cy - who appears with Paris on her reality show The World According To Paris - didn't enjoy being in the spotlight.

"Paris and Cy aren't broken up. They are just taking a break to think about things. They love each other very much," the insider told X17.

"It's just been hard on them with their relationship being exposed on national television. Cy isn't comfortable in the limelight. This is all very new to him. Plus with all the travelling with Paris' busy schedule, it makes it hard for him to do his business. Paris and Cy both love and respect each other a lot, but they just need time to figure things out."

Paris and Cy began dating in late Spring last year, not long after the heiress split from The Hills star Doug Reinhardt, who she had been romancing on and off for just over a year. (C) Cover Media
