"I am a child at heart and there is a kid in every adult. This is why I accepted to do the role of a man with the mind of a five-year-old in Dheiva Thirumagal," said Vikram. He was speaking to journalists in Chennai, at a press meet to promote his forthcoming venture. "I performed the complex role with ease thanks to director A L Vijay," he said.

"I did enough home work and visited many mentally-challenged homes and saw people at close quarters. I want to do challenging roles in my career. There is no joy in your work without making innovative attempts. When Vijay narrated the story to me, I thought it was challenging and I could do it," he added.

The movie stars Anushka, Amala Paul, Santhanam and Nasser in key roles. Produced by Rajakaliamman Media and presented by UTV, it has music by G V Prakash and cinematography by Nirav Shah. It will be released on the 15th of July.
