Fashion designer Vikram Phadnis' mother Ranjan Phadnis passed away on February 10, 2019 in Mumbai. Funeral was attended by Bollywood celebs such as Arbaaz Khan, Alvira Agnihotri, Amitabh Bachchan along with daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Manish Paul, Sajid Khan, Abbas-Mustan. 

On February 13, a prayer meet was held in the loving the memory of his deceased mother. Just like how Bollywood celebs came to support then, they also stood by him during the prayer meet. Prayer meet saw B-Town in full attendance such as Ayushmann Khurrana, Athiya Shetty, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Arora, Karisma Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonali Kulkarni, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Abbas-Mustan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Naina Bachchan, Seema Khan, Manish Paul, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Sunil Grover, Maheep Kapoor and others. 

Vikram has been an active member of the fashion world for 28 years and completed 25 years in the film industry. He also made his directorial debut in the year 2017 with a Marathi film titled 'Hrudayantar'; he will soon begin shooting for his next based on dementia.

He said, "It will be a Marathi film that is subtitled in English. The story that I want to tell the world is about Alzheimer's and dementia. It's a story, which I have written, close to my heart. I don't know whether I can figure it as a commercial, art, massy or classy film... I don't know those terms. I am hoping that I will be able to create the magic that people expect out of me."
