They say experience is the best teacher and it seems that Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has learnt this the hard way. The actor who has been upfront about everything has realised that speaking your mind doesn't really help in this industry which hogs on gossips.

Recently, a couple of his statements stirred controversies for him which went beyond his control. There was a statement where he claimed that he would have no inhibitions in kissing Shraddha and then there was another quote where he stated that he finds non-industry girls interesting.

While the former statement got linked to Shraddha Kapoor, the latter one gave him tags like flirtatious and flamboyant. However, fortunately he has learnt his lesson to think twice before he speaks in media.

"Some seniors from the industry shouted at me for making the statement. I have actually been told to not talk about it. So, out of respect, I will not be talking about girls per se" says Varun with his magnetic smile.

Seems like someone does pay heed to the words of wisdom.
