I won't ever write and act in the same film: Kalki

26th August 2012

Highly talented Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin has carved a niche for herself after giving out critical and commercial hits in her career.

The actress who forayed into acting with 'Dev D' is also a talented writer who states that penning down stories has been a hobby that she has been nurturing for quite sometime. In fact, she had put her writing to use when she co-wrote the film 'That Girl In Yellow Boots' along with hubby Anurag Kashyap who also directed her in the film where she played the protagonist.

But Kalki says that playing the double role of an actor and a writer for the film takes a toll on her and hence she has decided to not shoulder dual responsibilities for one single film.

"I won't ever write and act in the same film because I get so confused with the writer in you saying 'No, it's not correct' and the actor saying something else. It's not good," said Kalki. She however confirmed that she will continue her tryst with writing.

"I think writing is something which is a pleasure and a hobby. Acting is something I am much more hungry about. Writing is not something I am going to dismiss. It is slowly going to come along," confessed Kalki who will be next seen in the commercial caper 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' alongside Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor
