Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor bring to you the modern day version of 'Laila Majnu' and they have already released its teaser among the fans. It would be interesting to see how this modern day version of Laila Majnu turns out to be as this directorial debut of Imtiaz's brother Sajid Ali. The director even mentioned the film's release date.

Sharing the first look, Imtiaz wrote on Instagram, "Why do some stories live forever? Laila Majnu Teaser out tomorrow... releases 24th August 2018." Whereas Ekta Kapoor shared a still from the film via twitter and captioned it "Why do some stories live on forever? Find out with #LailaMajnuTeaser releasing tomorrow. The teaser of the film introduces two lovers from Kashmir and the picturesque locations just add up more grace to it. Then comes the twist when these lovers are separated by evil forces and they fight this battle to be together in the end.

Talking about the film Imtiaz said, "Laila Majnu is an eternal story of everlasting love. It's perhaps the most popular love story of all times. For the film we wanted a fresh approach in all aspects -- a fresh cast, a fresh script and a fresh setting. We had a great experience making the film and can't wait to showcase it to the world."

The film is slated to release on August 24.
