Akarsh Khurana directed 'Karwaan' featuring Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar in lead roles has marked an official release date. This slice of life film was expected to release on June 1 but will now release on August 10.
The film also stars Kriti Kharbanda in the pivotal role. The makers are out with an official poster which had the trio of Irrfan, Dulquer and Mithila smiling while drinking coconut water and a tagline that reads, "3 Lost Souls...2 Dead Bodies...A Journey of a Lifetime ..."
Malayalam actor Dulquer tweeted the film's poster and captioned it,''And finally, we are happy to announce a release date for #Karwaan !! Coming to a cinema near you on August 10th !!! Cannot wait for you all to watch it @irrfank @mipalkar @RSVPMovies @MrAkvarious.''
Dulquer Salmaan, best known for his performance in South films like OK Kanmani and Charlie, will make his Bollywood debut with 'Karwaan'. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Akarsh Khurana as a director.
'Karwaan' has been widely shot in the picturesque locales of Kerala. Actress Mithila Palkar is also making her Bollywood debut. Meanwhile, Dulquer has signed another film with Sonam Kapoor based on the novel by Anuja Chauhan 'The Zoya Factor' where he is set to play a cricketer in the film. Bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala's production house RSVP in association with Ishka Films, the movie will hit the big screen on August 10 this year.
