The talked about film garnered headlines for many good reasons, but the controversy over the leading lady lead to a lot of gossip.
But since day one, there has been news that Sonam was the contender leading the pack.
Confirming the same, Sonam recently announced that they were negotiating from the last four months but fortunately the deal has been sealed.
"I was in negotiations with Sooraj-ji for the last four months. We've finally worked out all the modalities. And, yes I am doing the film. I'll be getting into the film as soon as I finish shooting Arbaaz Khan's 'Dolly Ki Doli'," Sonam said.
She made her debut with
Ranbir Kapoor in
'Saawariyaa', but Salman was her first love interest as she was paired opposite him in the film.
Getting nostalgic on past memories, Sonam is excited to reunite with her first hero, Salman.
"I've grown up watching Sooraj-ji's films. To be actually working in his film is a very exciting prospect for me. Also people seem to remember that I was paired with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Saawariya'. They forget my character was actually in love with Salman's character. This film is double exciting as I'll get to star with Salman Khan for the second time," she said.
