The son of the Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and the lovely Sharmila Tagore, will be turning 41 today, i.e. 16th August, 2011. Yes, Saif Ali Khan, our very own Chotte Nawab is turning a year older today.

Born into a very influential family, with a father as a cricketer and mother as a famous actress, Saif was lucky to be born with a silver spoon; but this didn't help him be a 'hit' in the initial days of his career. In 1993, he won the Filmfare award for the Best Male Debut Award in 'Aashiq Awara' but then later he didn't give that many hits. At the start of his career, he starred in many movies opposite Akshay Kumar and the duo did give us some good movies. After repeated flops, he attracted people's attention through his movie 'Kya Kehna' but even that was a multi-starrer. He was really completely appreciated in the 2001 movie 'Dil Chahta Hai'. After this movie, there was no looking back. His latest movie 'Aarakshan', though not much appreciated, his work was thoroughly noticed and liked.

His personal life has always been a matter of interest for many. After going through a divorce with his wife Amrita Singh, there were speculations about him dating various women until finally he declared his love for Kareena Kapoor. Saif has found success and happiness in not only his professional life but also his personal life.
