Assamese actress Bidisha Bezbaruah was found dead at her residence in Gurugram on Tuesday.  According to a leading daily her husband Nisheet Jha is arrested, as her family has accused him of having an extra martial affair which caused Bidisha to take this step.

Deputy commissioner of Deepak Saharan said, "Bezbaruah was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her rented accommodation which she had taken recently."

"Her father suspected something foul as she was not picking the phone on Monday evening. He approached the police and gave details of her local address."

"The victim's father claimed in his complaint that she had a love marriage but would often have quarrels with her husband."

She got hitched to Nisheet in the year 2016 and resided in Mumbai. However, the actress had recently moved to Gurugram and was about to file a divorce within 14 months of her marriage. It is also reported that her in-laws too mentally harassed.

She was popularly known for her Assamese singing and was last seen in 'Jagga Jasoos.'
