(Cover) - EN Showbiz - James Blunt has admitted he was joking when he said he would be performing at Britains Prince Williams wedding.

The British singer had claimed he had been asked to play the organ when William marries his fiance Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London on April 29. James was being interviewed by an Italian news channel when he was quizzed on whether he would be singing at the royal wedding.

Im actually playing. Im not singing, Im playing the church organ there, James told SkyTG24.

However, a representative for the musician best known for his hit Youre Beautiful has insisted James wasnt serious when he made the claims.

In fact, the 37-year-old star wont even be attending the ceremony as he will be touring across America to showcase his latest album Some Kind of Trouble when William weds Kate next month.

James isnt the only famous face in the music industry who has been linked to the royal wedding. Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney are also believed to have been lined up to perform during the couples big day. (C) Cover Media
