The American singer who is signed to Sean P Diddy Combs label Bad Boy Records is currently enjoying success with her debut album The ArchAndroid (Suits II and III). The record received acclaim from critics and gained two Grammy nominations , with Janelle calling it a emotion-picture experience.

The 25-year-old star has revealed she wants to venture into the film industry and pen a movie about all the things she loves.

It would have to be the one I havent written yet as part of the Emotion Picture Production Company, she replied, when asked what her favourite film is. It will be about how I see the world and what I find interesting about life. That will be my favourite movie, but it hasnt been written yet.

The talented performer who has collaborated with Outkast and B.o.B - is inspired by fellow musician Lauryn Hill. Janelle believes that every young girl should listen to the stars album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

I was about seven years old, and I just thought she was speaking from so many angles she tied in love, her love for hip-hop, and it was the first time I saw a black woman who was absolutely cheering to listen to, putting an album together that was classic, and that every young girl should listen to, she added.
