(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jason Bateman appreciates Jennifer Aniston "tolerating [his] crazy behaviour".

The Hollywood pair have established a firm friendship since meeting at the beginning of their acting careers.

Jason shares a close bond with the American star, and has recalled the beginnings of their burgeoning friendship.

"We met in LA while we were both struggling and before she landed the role on Friends. I dreamed of marrying her when I figured out how to stop living a crazy life and got my act together," he told the UK edition of OK! magazine.

"But it was only a dream and I was playing around a lot in those days she tolerated my behaviour like that of some crazy guy who would show up at her house at midnight with a bunch of friends. But Jennifer was always very together and responsible."

Jason is happily married to Amanda Anka. The pair have daughter Francesca together and are currently expecting another child. Jason says Amanda and Jennifer share very similar qualities.

"As it turned out, I met my wife Amanda, who is actually pretty similar to Jennifer in the sense that she's smart and level-headed," he said. (C) Cover Media
