(Cover) - EN Star Style - Demi Lovato and Jason Derlo "knocked out" their duet at three o'clock in the morning.

The two musicians collaborated on Together, which features on Demi's record Unbroken.

Jason revealed they worked together in Miami, although the duet very nearly didn't happen. He was only in the city for one day, but managed to find time to record.

"I came down to visit my grandfather for a day, so I went in at like 3am and we knocked it out," he explained. "We were there till about nine in the morning, but it was really cool."

Jason revealed Together very nearly didn't happen. Although he counts Miami as his home at that time he hadn't been there much as he'd been so busy with other projects.

It was a stroke of luck that he happened to be around when Demi's people approached him.

"The song is called Together and I just really just happened to be in Miami," Jason told MTV News. "I'm very rarely in Miami and I live in Miami, but before the time I was there, I was there like six months prior and then I haven't been there for a long, long time. But I guess they knew that I lived in Miami. A mutual friend called me and was like, 'Hey, we're at the studio, Demi wanted to get in with you if you were around.'"
