(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jason Momoa says he "can never be" Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The 32-year-old American actor portrays the title character in Conan the Barbarian. The movie follows the iconic hero as he travels across the continent of Hyboria to avenge his father's murder.
Arnold played the character in 1982, and Jason accepts it's inevitable that people will compare the two action stars. However, he insists he portrays the barbarian in a totally different way.
"No, I don't really draw comparisons. Arnold's Arnold. I can never be him. I can only be me," he said in an interview with SFX magazine.
Jason - who is best known for his role in HBO series Game of Thrones - hopes fans of the fictional hero will appreciate his performance.
The hunky star hopes that enough time has passed since the last movie for audiences to enjoy the story all over again.
"It's my own spin on Conan and I hope people like it," he explained.
"Twentysomething years have passed so it's a whole new generation that we want to tell these Robert E Howard stories to." (C) Cover Media
