Though veteran writer Javed Akhtar kept writing lyrics for various Bollywood films, he left writing film stories and scripts almost a decade back.

Javed last wrote his son Farhan Akhtar's directorial film 'Lakshya' in the year 2004 and since then he never wrote any film. In a recent interview, Farhan too confessed that both he and his sister Zoya Akhtar have been requesting him to write a story or a film but he never paid heed to their pleas.

Farhan then asserted that may be he was looking for some inspiration. And it seems that he has found his inspiration as his wife Shabana Azmi recently confirmed that Javed is indeed working on a fresh film script.

Javed along with Salim Khan wrote scripts for many blockbusters like 'Zanjeer', 'Sholay' and 'Deewaar' and he going back to writing is big news for Bollywood.

When asked who will be directing the film, Farhan or Zoya, Shabana Azmi refused to give any further details.
