Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli put on a united front for their children over the weekend.

The former couple announced that they had split on March 13 after 11 years of marriage but promised to maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of their three daughters.

They were pictured out for the first time together since revealing their break up but at times looked a little tense and did not appear to interact much.

Jennie and Peter went to a toy store in Sherman Oaks, California with daughters Lola, nine, and Fiona, five. Their eldest daughter Luca was not there.

Sources told Us Weekly that the pair had been living apart for a while but decided to formally announce their split recently.

"It's been over for months, maybe even a year," an insider said of the Twilight actor and Beverly Hills 90210 alum. "They kept up some sort of charade for their kids."

Jennie and Peter have reportedly not yet filed for divorce or come to any custody agreement.

Jennie has moved her girls for a more rural life in Santa Ynez, California which will be shown on her new reality series Jennie Garth: Little Bit Country.
