The American stars second album I Remember Me was released in the US in March, and shes fiercely proud of it. The singer had a great deal of input into the LP, which includes tracks about the loss of her mother, brother and nephew who were murdered in 2008.

Everything is led by my vision and my ideas. Ive been really hands-on, so I feel like its me musically and as a person, image and everything, she said. Im super-excited about it. Im in love with it.

Jennifer worked with a number of big-name stars on the album, including Ne-Yo and R. Kelly. She also teamed up with Alicia Keys, which meant a great deal to her.

Alicia told Jennifer she was an inspiration to her, which made the star want to push herself as hard as possible. (C) Cover Media
